Virtual sessions. Sliding scale as needed

Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10+ years direct practice experience in individual and couples psychotherapy services.
Expert client evaluation and assessment skills, with a solid ability to establish strong and effective working relationships with clients.
Extensive exposure working within challenging hardship settings, and a demonstrated ability to remain calm during crises.
Skilled diagnostician utilizing DSM-5 criteria and conducting biopsychosocial assessments.
Adept in assisting clients with recovery efforts and self-determination.
I earned my graduate degree in clinical social work with a concentration in therapeutic modalities of relational, person-centered, and postmodern psychodynamic psychotherapy. My approach to therapy is straightforward: to integrate universally accepted and evidence-based principles, practices, and diverse therapeutic modalities into client sessions, collaborate with clients to lift constraints and develop new ways of being and becoming, all while focusing on an individual's essential nature and inherent capacity to heal, transform, and actualize their individual and unique potential. I maintain a thriving virtual private practice, providing specialized care for end-of-life matters, senior care, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), financial literacy, LGBTQI+ issues, grief and bereavement therapy, in addition to other conditions. I also maintain an active ministerial calendar.
I have been privileged to work privately with Buddhist, Sufi, and Fourth-Way teachers, as well as having been a student of The Ridhwan School in Berkeley, California for 10 years. I have actively cultivated and maintained a meditation and inquiry practice for over 40 years, which was significantly deepened and enriched after joining the Ridhwan School. I work diligently to expand opportunities for growth and development and learning throughout all endeavors I undertake, both personally and professionally. My focus is on expanding individual, community, and global awareness of various psychotherapeutic modalities, philosophical knowledge, and psycho-spiritual paths.
Adding to the tapestry of clinical experience is a diverse background early on as a financial logistics expert with a Fortune-500 institution and later as a university administrator working within International Human Rights, Medical-Legal Advocacy, Juvenile Rights, Federal Defender, Community Defender & Economic Justice clinics that coalesced to provide a diverse and grounded exposure to counseling individuals of all ages and backgrounds with regard to clinical, spiritual, academic, and professional pursuits, as well as practical life challenges. As a licensed clinical therapist and an ordained interfaith minister, I offer an innovative psychological and spiritual approach to pursuing a more balanced and meaningful and fulfilled life path.
